SMG Scores 5 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Games Including 2019 Final Four

West Conshohocken (November 18, 2014) - SMG is proud to announce the NCAA has selected five SMG-managed venues to serve as host sites for NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament playoffs and championships beginning in 2016.
The breakdown of SMG-managed facilities hosting the tournaments are as follows:

2016

Chesapeake Energy Arena (Oklahoma City, OK) – 1st & 2nd rounds
Dunkin Donuts Center (Providence, RI) - 1st & 2nd rounds

2017

BOK Center (Tulsa, OK) - 1st & 2nd rounds

2018

INTRUST Bank Arena (Wichita, KS) 1st & 2nd rounds

2019

New Minnesota Stadium (Minneapolis, MN) Final Four

“SMG is honored the NCAA once again has chosen SMG venues to serve as host sites,” said SMG President and CEO Wes Westley. “Having the NCAA recognize SMG venues’ past success in serving as host sites is a tribute to our venues and dedicated staff that will provide a first-class experience for the NCAA and the student athletes competing in these championships,” added Westley.

The NCAA made the announcement November 17. Sites were selected by the respective sport committees, made up of coaches and administrators from NCAA member schools and conferences, and ultimately approved by the appropriate division championship cabinets or committees.
